Dr. Johnson is the best prof I've had at UCSD. She knows everything and the COGS 17 class was an amazing class I highly recommend it. I took COGS 1 after 17 and people in there were struggling because they didn't know material, so 17 goes over basic material as well and she's better at explaining things. Pay attention in lecture and you'll get an A.
